Susanna Piolanti

Graduated in piano, didactics of music and harpsichord at the Conservatorio “G.Rossini” of Pesaro, then specialised in harpsichord and early music at the CMA of Geneva. She attended several specialisazion courses with eminent musicians such as Gordon Murray, Jos Van Immerseel and Jesper Boje Christensen (for basso continuo). In 1995, she was awarded a Mention Honorable at the international Harpsichord Competition of Brugge (Belgium). She has performed, both as a soloist and within chamber music groups, in important Festivals such as Concerti della Fondazione Cini in Venice, Ravenna Festival, Festival of Mexico City and Concerti dell'Accademia Bizantina. She has recorded, for the Tactus Record Company, the Sonate per l'intavolatura per l'Organo e il Cembalo, Amsterdam 1742 op 2 by Giovanni Battisti Martini; for this disc, in 2002, she was awardwd the “preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik” (Prize of the German Disc Critics).
